Consultation on the Moorfields Eye Hospital Site
From 2027, Moorfields Eye Hospital will relocate to its new home in St Pancras. Once it has moved, the site will become obsolete, presenting an opportunity to create a new residential neighbourhood for Islington.
The proposals for Old Street Quarter aim to bring a new life to this historic site with the introduction of a residential-led neighbourhood. The emerging proposals include affordable homes, new public spaces, improved local walking routes, restored heritage buildings and places for people to live, meet and spend time.
