Walking routes
The proposals will open up the site for the first time in over 100 years, creating a new network of walking routes through the neighbourhood.
The current site is closed off with no access to pedestrians
New arch entrance from City Road
Entrances from City Road, Bath Street, Cayton Street and Peerless Street will improve access from all sides, making it easier to move between the surrounding streets.
A key route connecting to Baldwin Street will provide a calm, pedestrian-friendly walk to and from Old Street station, away from busy roads.
